GOP affirms NOM’s ideology

If you have been listening to the radio lately you may have heard Dr. Patrick Wooden calling out President Obama in an advertisement sponsored by the National Organization for Marriage. Dr. Wooden, a prominent African American pastor, states in the ad:

“President Obama has turned his back on the values of our community with his endorsement of the homosexual movement. We worked hard to pass the Marriage Protection Amendment this past May… The very next day President Obama came out for homosexual marriage. Join me in saying No More to President Obama.”

Dr. Wooden will be happy to know that today in Tampa, the GOP 2012 Platform was affirmed at the Republican National Convention in support of marriage as a union between one man and one woman. The platform backs a constitutional amendment stating such and affirms the right of states and the federal government to not recognize same-sex marriage.
