8th Graders Forced to Help Obama’s Campaign

Students at Liberty Middle School in Fairfax County, Virginia have been working on a project this semester. It is to research the GOP candidates, describe their weaknesses in a research paper, and then send the paper to Obama’s campaign. We are once again reminded of the left’s wild efforts to indoctrinate the youth of this country, except this time is not as subtle. Liberty teacher Michael Denman divided his Civics class into four groups and assigned each gorup a Republican candidate of whom they would find weaknesses that the Obama campaign could exploit. Denman would have been loathe to not consider what the parents of the students would have thought about this assignment, and indeed, one of the parents was quoted:
“This assignment was just creepy beyond belief — like something out of East Germany during the Cold War.” However, desperate times call for desperate measures, and Obama’s supporters turning to 8th graders to help his campaign seems mighty desperate.

So much for teaching students to look at both sides of any situation. (Especially Political). As a parent, I would be furious. The Principal & teacher should Both be fired. Is this what we get when Socialism & Teacher Unions take over our schools ? Sad and jaded.

Sad and sick at the same time. The teacher should have been reprimanded and made to apologize to the parents and students at the same time publicly. Then made to give the students another assignment to research Democratic candidates and what their weakness` are. and not just the president but other candidates that are running for congress in 2012. Of course the finished product should be forwarded to those selected candidates.
