
The DTH’s front page special about our First Amendment rights included the image of Billy Kluttz, former President of GLBTSA with a sign “first-year.”
His quote: “The freedom of speech is always limited by societal harm. I guess we’re going to keep fighting over where that line is, and non-sexist language is where I draw that line.”
So a movement that seeks to ban certain words is somehow pro-free speech? What are you thinking, DTH?
Never mind that there is zero evidence to support the contention that gendered language actually negatively impacts people (you have a right to not feel bad, guys). It’s just a small minority of people who can be doing a lot more good for the world than complaining about pronouns.
