Doctors vs. Gun Owners: Who is more deadly?

Some people say guns should be outlawed. They are violent instruments that kill people. Well, I don’t know about you, but I have never met a gun that killed someone. That’s right, because guns don’t kill people. People kill people.

In fact, we should be more afraid of doctors than gun owners:

Stats: courtesy of U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services and the FBI

-700,000 physicians in US
-120,000 accidental deaths per year caused by physicians
-Number of accidental deaths per physician: .171

-80 million gun owners in US
– 1500 accidental gun deaths per year
-Number of accidental deaths per gun owner: .0000188

Yes, a 12-yr old that can tell which numbers are larger than the others. haha.

Most 12 year olds can tell one number is larger than another, but might not have enough common sense to recognize that your analogy is meaningless.

seriously? The practice of medicine is inherently risky, especially with the health of the nation declining and newer, more risky procedures bring demanded. Should we do away with practice of medicine entirely then?
